It's so easy to...Congrats on the size 16s!!! <br /><br />It's so easy to get obsessed with numbers. I remember a period in my life where I would wake up and weigh, then pee and weigh, shower and weigh, drink coffee and weigh. Seriously, it was insane. Now I'm kind of the opposite and have to force myself to step on the scale.<br /><br />Also, To Do lists are my jam! That number is almost meaningless. Shopping at thrift stores can be a nightmare because a size 10 today is generally larger than a size 10 from years gone by.<br /><br />I weigh every day too. I need to know as you described. I hardly let that impact my day. Although, I have been known to get a lower reading after an indulgence and tell myself I can eat X because it doesn't matter. It does. It always catches up!<br /><br />I used to be crazy though charting my weight. I had spreadsheets and graphs looking for trends. I realized I was putting all my effort into the analysis and not the nutrition and exercise. I let that go in the middle of 2015. It was a hard thing to do but I feel much freer now. The only record of my weight that I keep now is the little puppy at the top of my blog.<br /><br />Good idea staying off the ankle until it feels better. It is hard to rest when you are mentally ready to be active. It is better to rest, so that you don't hurt yourself worse.
