Constant pushing doesn't do good for motivation, so its just benefitical to keep it light and have the routine going on. So tiring and stupid. But glad you listened to reason because you would have ended up very stressed otherwise! Life throws us curveballs all the time (divorce, pneumonia) and you’re learning to take them in your stride. Or run, ha! And a big YES to accepting yourself where you you are now. So crucial. And it will make you feel better about yourself NOW rather than when you’ve lost the weight. Mind you, I also totally get that about wanting to just stay fat and eat. I often say to my husband “let’s just stop worrying about the weight and keep vegging out in front of the TV with our comfort foods.” That’s my dream scenario, ahem. But like you we cannot accept that, we need to keep working at this and get slimmer and healthier. xoKerstinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10684657181509439771noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20595227.post-25476947319977041652015-09-18T15:59:30.528-05:002015-09-18T15:59:30.528-05:00Mindless games are sometimes necessary. I just blogged the other day about how I finally broke down and bought a new pair of pants because my too tight pants were making feel terrible about myself and not motivating me to lose. The next day I got a hair cut. We have to take care of ourselves emotionally as well on this adventure. www.losingmypuppy.blogspot.comAnnahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03208992401729752999noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20595227.post-60679670420156990472015-09-18T13:20:48.008-05:002015-09-18T13:20:48.008-05:00I am glad to know that you are leaving your option...I am glad to know that you are leaving your options open with the half marathon. I would hate for you to push yourself too hard and relapse. I would also hate for you to give up when you could have made it happen. I can't wait to see how this turns out.<br />LoriLorihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06348740719854853661noreply@blogger.com
