I try to only get on that thing ...the scale, man... I try to only get on that thing once a week & even then sometimes I know the news isn't going to be good so I just don't wanna do it! LOL... that then becomes my downfall so I have to do it anyways. I try not to let the numbers get to me & go more by how I feel. It's helpful if you take measurements also though. Sometimes when you aren't seeing losses on the scale you will see losses in the inches:-) Thanks for nominating me for the liebster award, so nice of you! I used to be an every day weigher many years ago, but I'm glad I got over that as it sure messed with my head.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20595227.post-30456903388144269682013-02-08T13:17:16.766-05:002013-02-08T13:17:16.766-05:00I've been struggling a lot with this too. Howe...I've been struggling a lot with this too. However, after doing some research, I think my net calories may be too low. MFP tells me to eat 1320. I usually eat somewhere around 1400, and burn about 700 a day at the gym. However, that leaves me with a net of only 700. Most of the things I've read say that you should have a net of at least 1000-1200, so even though it seems counter-intuitive, I'm going to experiment with upping my calories a bit. Do...Mary Fran...did you check your sodium content? Do you have any food allergies? You might be developing a new one that is causing inflammation even if no other symptoms. Just a few thoughts.

Re the 'no matter what the scales says, aren't I doing the right healthy things?" I've been feeling the same way. In fact, this morning, even though the scale graced me with a .2 loss despite a lunch out (I was cautious, but still I usually only maintain when I have even one meal out)...I was thinking I really need to stop feeling so awful about the scale because I can't eat any less and be healthy, I've cut out all the sugar, most of the unnecessary fat, and 89% of the carbs, virtually all added sodium (I never salt but restaurants do) I'm exercising 6 times a week....for being 61, I'm doing all the right things now. This is for life. The scale will go down to where it's meant to be. At it's pace...not mine. As long as I've examined any hidden causes, adjusted for them, and am doing everything else right....there is nothing more I can do and I have to accept that. Have a great weekend!Gwenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18386517479350871434noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20595227.post-18201338268395726322013-02-08T11:14:39.874-05:002013-02-08T11:14:39.874-05:00I suspect that by the time you step on the scale o...I suspect that by the time you step on the scale on Monday - the number will have dropped. That happens to me all the time. I have a friend that swears she weighs more whenever it rains. I'm going to go with that... ;-)Darcy Wintershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13762044938727103931noreply@blogger.com
