Somehow or other...I used to be an emotional eater. Somehow or other, I've switched to exercising instead. When I'm stressed, I do kickboxing, yoga, or step. When I'm really frustrated, I get in the car and drive somewhere and go on a few hour hike. This might be in part because I just stopped keeping anything useful for comfort eating around. Carrots, high-fiber cereal, 1% milk just don't do the job. Even popcorn just doesn't cut it.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20595227.post-4514383891414197892009-05-17T22:24:00.000-05:002009-05-17T22:24:00.000-05:00OH Mary Fran, reality is a bummer. We food addicts are all emotion...You're not alone. We food addicts are all emotional eaters, and just the way you described. We just LOVE food and it makes us happy. I sure wish there was a way or a drug that would keep us from doing that.

I can remember spats with my spouse and I'd shove the potato chips in my mouth and say to myself, "so there."

Hope things get better for ya soon. You've come a long way and I'm very proud of you. You can do this.Deborahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05223456736192620140noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20595227.post-15662721001974365472009-05-16T23:15:00.000-05:002009-05-16T23:15:00.000-05:00I feel you! I think everyone is...I am an emotional eater also. I think everyone is to a degree. For a while I was addicted to gambling. In some ways being a food addict is better, think positive. Be proactive. You are doing good, hang in there.
I had an outburst of emotional eating yesterday when I got home from my friends place. Your not alone. Hang in there.Herbalife Las Vegashttp://www.weightloss222.comnoreply@blogger.com
